Mountain Bike Escape is a cycle trail located in Stoke-on-Trent, New Zealand. Founded by Adrian Felton, a passionate cyclist with over 38 years of experience, this trail aims to provide an escape from the daily grind and pressures of everyday life. Adrian's own discovery of the joy and stress-relief that mountain biking brings has inspired him to share his hobby with others, offering a chance to improve quality of life.
Adrian's journey into mountain biking began after his rugby career ended due to injury in 2011. Seeking a new escape, he dusted off his 20-year-old Marin Pine Mountain and explored the stunning railway trails in the peak district near his home. The beauty of the surroundings coupled with the physical exercise offered a perfect way to de-stress and enjoy life. Over the next 8 years, Adrian honed his skills and in 2017, he became a certified MIAS MTB Leader and a member of the Association of British Cycling Coaches.
As an instructor, Adrian offers coaching for riders of all ages and skill levels, both as part of a group or on an individual basis. From basic riding skills to tackling technical obstacles on red trails, he tailors his sessions to suit each rider's needs. Adrian is fully insured to guide new and existing riders, ensuring safety and confidence on the trails.
In addition to guiding, Adrian also offers the opportunity to experience some of the most wonderful rides in the UK and abroad. From family-friendly peak trails to trail centres with green, blue, and red trails for all levels, and even more challenging natural trails in the UK and Lanzarote, he guarantees a memorable adventure. Working alongside his wife Kelly Felton-Jones, they can also assess your fitness levels prior to riding, enhancing your performance on the trails.
