Mountain Biking Falls Creek, the renowned BMX club in Falls Creek, is excited to promote an upcoming event at Falls Creek Mountain Bike Park. This world-class gravity trails park, located within the stunning Victorian Alpine National Park, offers an unrivaled showcase of gravity and flow on breathtaking alpine terrain.
No matter your skill level, Falls Creek's trails cater to all riders. From beginners looking for a leisurely ride to experienced riders seeking a challenge, there is something for everyone. Conveniently situated within the resort, the park is easily accessible for all. And for those who prefer not to climb, the park offers a shuttle service provided by Blue Dirt Mountain Biking. Starting from November 13th, 2023, the shuttle service operates on weekends, and during Christmas to the end of January, it runs daily. The shuttles conveniently pick riders up at the village hub and the bottom of Flowtown, dropping them off at the top of the best trails in the mountains.
One of the park's standout trails is Skyline, a 5 km gravity trail built by the renowned World Trail. This thrilling trail is packed with exhilarating berms, jumps, and rock features that will surely get any rider's heart racing. Skyline seamlessly connects to the popular Flowtown trail, which provides a unique riding experience akin to a pump track.
Mountain Biking Falls Creek also takes pride in offering beginner-friendly trails. With over 10 km of intentionally designed trails for new riders, the park ensures that mountain biking doesn't have to be too extreme. These green trails provide the perfect opportunity for riders to learn the ropes and get acquainted with the sport. Conveniently, all trails in the park start and finish in the village, allowing riders to easily loop back and ride again.
For those seeking an adrenaline-pumping adventure, the summit descent is an absolute must-try. This exhilarating ride boasts Victoria's longest unbroken gravity descent, spanning an impressive 535m. Riders will traverse three of Falls Creek's best trails – High Voltage, Wishing Well, and Flowtown - for a wall-to-wall downhill experience. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more relaxed ride that showcases the scenic snowgum country, the combination of Generator to Vortex is the way to go. This route will bring you back to the village, allowing you to soak in the picturesque surroundings.
Excitingly, Falls Creek Mountain Bike Park is constantly expanding. With the Stage 5 development currently underway, thanks to a generous Regional Infrastructure Grant of $500,000, riders can look forward to an additional 11 km of flow and technical trails. This expansion will provide even more opportunities for riders of all levels to explore and enjoy the park's offerings.
