Morningstar Taekwon-Do

Morningstar Taekwon-Do, Oakville's only school of Original Taekwon-Do, has been providing lessons in the art of Chang Hun Taekwon-Do to the Oakville community since 1988. The founder of Morningstar Taekwon-Do takes pride in the development of a courteous and spirited training environment. Training at Morningstar Taekwon-Do is not solely focused on sport, but is a method of using the mind, body, and spirit to improve oneself in both training and daily life. The non-competitive training environment encourages each student to not only enhance their own skills but also help their fellow students improve as well.

Morningstar Taekwon-Do offers classes to fit even the busiest schedules, from beginners to intermediate to Black Belt courses. Studies have shown that children who practice Taekwon-Do experience increased responsibility, decreased risk-taking behaviour, and a higher sense of self-esteem. Taekwon-Do is a positive outlet for children's energy and promotes good behaviour both inside and outside the training studio. For adults, Taekwon-Do offers self-defence skills, physical fitness, and stress relief benefits.

The ultimate goal of Martial Arts, according to Morningstar Taekwon-Do, lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of the character of its participants. Men, women, young, and old are welcome to learn the art of Taekwon-Do at Morningstar. In today's society, where violence and moral values seem to be on the decline, Taekwon-Do is a way to prepare mentally and physically for everyday stress and potential challenges.

Morningstar Taekwon-Do conducts classes five days a week in Oakville, with special classes for children, youths, and adults. Separate classes are available for beginners, intermediate, advanced, and black belt levels. The school also organizes local, provincial, national, and international tournament trips and demonstration outings to showcase the students' skills. Students must be a minimum of 6 years old and demonstrate a strong work ethic and desire to learn to train at Morningstar Taekwon-Do.
