Morley Glen Juniors FC

Morley Glen Juniors FC, a well-established football club in Leeds, has been nurturing young talent since 1974. Affiliated with the West Riding County Football Association, the club welcomes players from under 6s to under 17s, fostering both skill and sportsmanship.

The club's home ground, Glen Road Playing Fields in Morley, Leeds, offers excellent facilities and a lively atmosphere. The dedicated committee, led by committed volunteers, meets regularly to manage club operations. For the youngest players, Ralph Hyde leads the under 6s and nursery section with sessions on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 11:15. Open to boys and girls from age 4, no prior booking is needed, and each session costs £3.

Graham Chilton manages the under 7s team, which plays matches on Sunday mornings and trains on Thursday evenings during summer at Glen Road Playing Field. Specific details for winter training will follow soon.

The under 8s and under 9s teams, managed by Aaron Myers and Gaz Cadden respectively, hold regular fixtures and development-focused training sessions.

Nathan oversees the under 10s Blue and White squads, playing matches on Sunday mornings and training on Thursday evenings in summer. Darren Milburn manages the under 10s Girls team, with their games on Saturday mornings and training on Tuesday evenings during summer.

Throughout the year, Morley Glen Juniors FC organises various community events, including the recent Christmas Santa Fun Run on Saturday 9th December 2023, where participants ran in Santa costumes to raise funds for the club.

The club instils discipline and good sportsmanship, offering an online system for parents to pay fines for yellow and red cards received during matches.
