With ride opportunities available from Tuesday through to Sunday, Moore Performance Cycling caters to a wide range of cyclists, including beginners, competitive racers, triathlon trainees, and cycling enthusiasts. Weekday rides usually last between 70 to 80 minutes and take place in Centennial Park or the roads of the Eastern Suburbs. As we move into the winter months, they emphasise the importance of having adequate and functional lights on your bike while also ensuring its overall working condition.
Please note that hybrid bikes are not permitted in the squad rides. Saturdays provide an excellent opportunity for riders to partake in longer rides, commencing at the Robertson Road Gates in Centennial Park. Riders are conveniently divided into four groups based on skill and experience levels, ensuring everyone finds a suitable fit.
Sunday rides at Moore Performance Cycling offer exciting variations each week, with all the necessary details provided to members through a comprehensive weekly training newsletter. For newcomers, the journey typically begins with Tuesday or Thursday rides. This allows the experienced coaches at Moore Performance to assess their skills and ensure they meet the minimum safety requirements.
Moore Performance Cycling takes pride in offering a range of specialised squad programs to accommodate different cycling levels. The P1 Program is designed for the most experienced and fastest cyclists, capable of maintaining an impressive pace. The P2 Program caters to riders who possess substantial experience but may struggle with taking the lead. Meanwhile, the P3 Program accommodates skilled riders who may not match the speed of the P2 group yet. Finally, the P4 Program, also known as the “No Drop” program, welcomes newer cyclists or those seeking a more relaxed and social-paced ride.
During their rides, Moore Performance Cycling adheres to key principles that safeguard the well-being of their members. Each ride is assigned a designated Ride Captain, responsible for ensuring everyone's safety and adherence to designated time frames. Participants are divided into groups based on their ability, allowing for paced-based or event-focused rides.
