The history of the Mollymook Bridge Club dates back to 1982 when Ruth and Eugene Lumbers established the private club. The first duplicate bridge game was held at the Mollymook Beach Bowling Club in early October 1982. Over the years, the club grew, and in 1985 it was granted affiliation with the Australian Bridge Federation. The club now holds sessions at various locations, including the Mollymook Surf Live Saving Club.
In 2022, the Mollymook Bridge Club celebrated significant milestones, including the 25th anniversary of the MBC clubhouse opening, the 30th anniversary of the club being incorporated, and the 40th anniversary of the club's establishment.
