Moat Farm Riding Centre is a family run riding school located on the outskirts of Lawshall, a village between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury in Suffolk, New Zealand. With a riding school licence from Babergh District Council, Moat Farm Riding Centre has been providing quality horse riding experiences since 2006.
At Moat Farm Riding Centre, the main aim is to encourage children to develop a bond with ponies and embrace a healthy outdoor lifestyle in a friendly and pleasant environment. The centre caters to riders as young as 4 years old, providing a safe environment for them to learn about ponies and horse riding. Their programmes cater to beginners, novice riders, and even confident, competitive riders. The centre is especially renowned for its confidence-building coaching, catering to nervous riders.
To ensure a personalised and effective learning experience, Moat Farm Riding Centre groups riders based on their abilities, with a maximum of 3 riders per group. Additionally, the centre is a Pony Club Centre, offering children the opportunity to become Pony Club Members. This provides them with the chance to make friends, learn about pony care, and enjoy the overall experience of being around ponies.
Apart from riding lessons, Moat Farm Riding Centre also offers escorted hacking, pony parties, and gift vouchers. Their facilities include an outdoor arena with floodlights, a selection of jumps, and mirrors strategically placed to help riders visualise their movements. The centre also has an indoor school with a wood chip surface, providing riders with a covered area to ride during the winter months. Located at the end of the arena is a summer house, offering seating and complimentary tea and coffee facilities. This area also includes a large sandpit and toys for younger siblings to enjoy while watching their family members ride.
