The North Bay Canoe Club is excited to announce their upcoming Mixed Recreational Dragon Boat Program for individuals aged 18 years and older. The program will run from May 28 to September 26, with practices scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Participants have the flexibility to choose between two practices per week for $500.00 or one practice per week for $300.00. The fees cover coaching, paddles, and life jackets, with the option for participants to use their equipment. Please keep in mind that additional costs for items such as jerseys, other apparel, or regattas are not included.
As a special bonus, those who sign up can look forward to a Weekend Friendship Paddle from June 21 to June 23. Dragon Boat paddling offers a blend of fun, fitness, and friendship, delivering a comprehensive workout that improves cardio fitness and strengthens the core.
No previous paddling experience is required, but all participants must be at least 18 years old and submit a completed PARQ form before joining. If there is enough interest from paddlers, the NBCC Mixed Recreational Dragon Boat Team may take part in two regattas. Please note that the cost of participating in regattas is separate from the Dragon Boat Season's Fee.
If you have any questions or need more information, don't hesitate to reach out to Lorie Fairburn via email. Join the North Bay Canoe Club for a rewarding and enjoyable dragon boating experience this season!
