Mirboo North Bowling Club

Mirboo North Bowling Club, located in the scenic town of Mirboo North, offers locals and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy a vibrant and welcoming sports club. With a rich history dating back to its establishment on September 13, 1958, the club has grown to become a thriving hub for lawn bowling enthusiasts and social members alike.

The club's facilities include three outdoor greens, consisting of two grass greens and one synthetic green. The synthetic green, known as the 'Founder's Green', is conveniently located in front of the clubhouse and is equipped with lighting, allowing for play in all seasons, day, or night. In addition, beneath the clubhouse, a four-rink carpeted green is available for coaching and practise, with the added benefit of heating during winter matches.

Mirboo North Bowling Club offers a diverse range of activities both on and off the greens. Regular men's, ladies', and mixed social matches are held, providing opportunities for bowlers of all levels of experience to participate and enjoy the sport. The club also organises various social events, such as the popular Friday Night Bistro, where members and guests can indulge in delicious meals. The large clubhouse or function room can accommodate over 160 individuals, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for club events.

For those interested in competitive play, members have the opportunity to join Club Championship events or participate in Midweek and Weekend Pennants in the Geelong Bowls Region competition. The club has experienced great success in recent years, with all seven Pennant teams reaching the finals and the Division 1 Pennant team clinching the topship and advancing to the leading League, the highest grade for Geelong and Ballarat combined.
