Welcome to Minsthorpe Sports & Fitness! Open since 1999, Minsthorpe Sports & Fitness is a leisure centre and gym located in Pontefract, South Elmsall, on the border of South and West Yorkshire. The centre offers a range of state-of-the-art facilities and fitness classes to cater to all your exercise needs.
One of the standout features of Minsthorpe Sports & Fitness is the full-size floodlit 3G Synthetic pitch, perfect for football enthusiasts who enjoy playing under the stars. The Fitness Centre is equipped with over 50 Technogym Cardiovascular and Resistance machines, ensuring that all members have a wide range of exercise options. Additionally, the Olympic specification sports hall offers ample space for sports such as basketball, badminton, long/short mat bowling, and volleyball.
For those who prefer group fitness activities, Minsthorpe Sports & Fitness offers a diverse selection of classes including Boxercise, Aerobiking, Legs Bums & Tums, Fight Fit, and Tabata. Whether you're a beginner or a fitness enthusiast, our experienced and qualified team will provide you with a consultation, fitness tests, and a personalised programme to help you achieve your fitness goals.
At Minsthorpe Sports & Fitness, we understand that individuals have different preferences when it comes to memberships. That's why we offer a variety of memberships to suit everyone. Our Monthly Direct Debit membership allows you to enjoy unlimited access to the gym and fitness classes, as well as one badminton or tennis court per month. We also have single, joint, over 60s, student, blue light (NHS, police, fire service, armed forces, WMDC), and workplace memberships available.
If you prefer more flexibility, we offer cash or card options for single month memberships and yearly memberships. The yearly membership includes unlimited use of the gym and fitness classes, one badminton or tennis court per month, and six free family/friend passes.
Minsthorpe Sports & Fitness is open seven days a week, providing convenient access to our facilities. Our opening hours are as follows: Monday to Thursday (06:30 – 22:00), Friday (06:30 – 22:00), Saturday (08:00 – 16:00), and Sunday (09:00 – 14:00).
For easy booking, we offer online fitness class bookings. Simply visit our website and click on the link to book your spot. If you're not yet registered for online fitness class bookings, simply email us with the subject “Register me” along with your six-digit membership number, and we'll get you set up.
