**Note from the Organiser to the Sports Community**
Hello Sports Community,
Chris, your organiser, wanted to share a quick update about Minsthorpe Community College.
Situated in South Elmsall, Minsthorpe Community College has been serving the local community with a focus on Motivation, Commitment, and Care. Established in April 2019, the college is led by joint principals who bring over 40 years of combined experience.
Chris wants to highlight how these core values – motivation, commitment, and care – are central to the daily life at the college. It’s not just talk; it’s what guides everything from teaching to sports and other extracurriculars. Students here strive for excellence and show kindness and compassion every day.
The college prides itself on its strong sense of community. Everyone, from teachers and support staff to students and parents, works together to create a collaborative and inclusive environment. This shared responsibility makes for a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Minsthorpe offers a range of academic and vocational courses, catering to various needs and interests. From pre-school to sixth form, students get a well-rounded education that sets them up for future success.
Beyond academics, the college also focuses on extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes. These allow students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and socialise with peers.
Chris also wanted to point out that parents and carers are very much a part of the college community. There’s regular communication and opportunities for engagement, making the partnership between home and school a key part of student success.
The college is set in a beautiful part of South Elmsall and features modern facilities. It’s part of the Minsthorpe Academy Trust, which is all about providing top-notch education to the community.
In summary, Minsthorpe Community College is a place where students can thrive in every way, guided by the values of motivation, commitment, and care.
Cheers,
The Organising Team
