Eastern Suburbs Football Club is thrilled to present the MiniRoos U6 U12 2024 event, a fantastic opportunity for young soccer enthusiasts in S quadi. This exciting activity will kick off on Saturday, April 20th and wrap up on Saturday, September 7th, featuring a total of 18 rounds. Please note that there will be no training sessions during school holidays.
The event welcomes boys, girls, and mixed groups, with teams being formed based on social and school connections. Kangaroos, our graded teams, are selected through trials held in October/November, with U9-U12 teams being categorised according to skill levels. The Kangaroos teams are for players with above-average skills, while Wallabies teams are for those with average skills and the Quokkas teams are designed for newcomers or players with basic skills.
For our U6 & U7 In-House category, players turning 5 in 2024 can register for MiniRoos U6. We will do our best to accommodate requests for players to join their friends, based on team availability. All players will be placed in the appropriate age group unless there are exceptional circumstances. Training for U6 & U7 In-House teams will take place on Tuesdays from 4.15pm – 5.15pm, and games are scheduled for Saturday mornings from 8.30am – 9.20am.
As for U8-U12 Wallabies & Quokkas teams, they will train once a week on Wednesdays from 4.30pm – 5.30pm, based on player registrations and abilities. For the ambitious players, our Kangaroo teams provide an opportunity to be coached by qualified coaches and play at a higher level. These teams will be selected through trials in late October.
We encourage parents to get involved by volunteering as team managers, who will handle communication for games and training sessions. All players are required to wear the full club kit, including an orange shirt, plain black shorts, and black socks, along with shin pads and football boots. Please remember that no jewellery is permitted during training or games.
