MiniRoos is a local event/activity organised by Boomers FC, a Soccer club in Albury. It is specifically designed for kids aged 5–11 years and aims to introduce them to the sport of football in a fun and inclusive way. The whole idea behind MiniRoos is to use short, game-based sessions to teach new skills, promote physical activity, and foster new friendships among the young participants.
MiniRoos is not just any ordinary event. It's a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn the sport, make lifelong friends, and who knows, we might just discover the next generation of Socceroos or Matildas! The MiniRoos Club Football program includes one training night per week, which takes place conveniently on Thursdays. And of course, what's football without a good game day? That's why we also have one game day per week, which is on Saturdays.
Now, you might be wondering about the cost. Well, to register your child for the entire season, it will be $140. However, if you're a resident of NSW, we have great news for you. You can apply for an Active Kids Voucher on the Service NSW website, which can help reduce the cost. So, don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!
The training sessions will be held on Thursday evenings, starting at [Time], at Glen Park in Glenroy (Albury). We kindly request that all children be supervised by a parent or guardian during the training sessions. Safety first!
As for the game days, they are managed by the Albury Wodonga Football Association (AWFA) and take place on Saturdays at different locations including Jelbart Park, Willow Park, and Alexandra Park. Each week, a different club hosts the BBQ and canteen, so your support and assistance on these days will be greatly appreciated. Teamwork makes the dream work, right?
