Welcome to Milton Keynes Rowing Club! Located at Caldecotte Lake on the south side of the city, our club is based at the Water Sports Centre on Monellan Grove. We are proud to share access to the lake, which gives us a straight 1-kilometre run, as well as a clubhouse with the Milton Keynes Sailing and Canoe Clubs.
At Milton Keynes Rowing Club, we have a vibrant Summer and Winter Programme that includes rowing races, events, training schedules, and social functions. Our activities cover both water training, including rowing and sculling, as well as land-based training such as circuit exercises and rowing machines.
We welcome members of all levels, from experienced rowers to complete newcomers to the sport. In fact, we actively encourage beginners by offering Learn to Row courses. Whether you're 16 years old or older, we invite you to join our club regardless of your abilities. We are inclusive and welcome rowing enthusiasts who want to take their sport less seriously, and we have now introduced a Recreational Rowing squad for this purpose.
If you're interested in trying out a new sport or rediscovering the joy of rowing and sculling, feel free to come down to the club during one of our training sessions. You'll receive a warm and friendly welcome from our members. Alternatively, you can contact us via email for more information. Just make sure to check our race schedule before visiting to ensure that we'll be there!
As part of our recent developments, we are thrilled to announce that we now have our own purpose-built boat house. This achievement comes after years of fundraising and the dedicated efforts of our club members. You can witness the progress of this project by watching our amazing boat house video on our website.
We are incredibly proud of our rowing accomplishments at the World Rowing Masters Regatta, where we have consistently returned with gold medals. Our latest victory came from the Women's F 4+ crew comprising Lucy Guest, Paula Heywood, Louise Rivett, and Karen Wilson, coxed by Kim Hutchinson. It's a testament to the skill and determination of our team.
To get a glimpse of our training location, we encourage you to watch the stunning video taken by our Chair's husband, Barry Rivett, showcasing our picturesque surroundings.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the companies and organisations that support our club. Their contributions have been invaluable in helping us grow and establish ourselves. If you're interested in becoming a sponsor, please visit our Sponsorship page on our website.
