John, the organiser of the Milton Keynes Canoe Club, wanted to share a quick update with everyone in the sports community. The club, located right in the heart of Milton Keynes, is a welcoming space for those who love canoeing and kayaking, regardless of age or skill level.
The regular sessions are held at Caldecotte Lake South on Tuesday and Friday evenings, and Saturday afternoons. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to practise and improve paddling skills in a friendly environment. Whether you're just starting or you've been paddling for years, there's something for everyone.
Besides the regular sessions, John also organises a range of events and activities throughout the year. These include coached sessions for both adults and juniors, and open pool sessions for the more experienced. There are also adventurous trips and expeditions, such as the popular 2-day moving water adventure on the River Usk.
John aims to not only improve members' technical skills but also to build a sense of community within the club. It's a place where people can come together, enjoy the sport, and form lasting friendships.
