Millennium Stage School, a trusted name in West Lothian for the past 22 years, welcomes young talent to explore drama, singing, dance, and musical theatre. Led by a team of resident and visiting tutors, the school offers top-notch training for children aged 4 to 18 and beyond.
Ross, the organiser, takes pride in the school's balanced offering for both boys and girls, fostering a well-rounded learning environment. This diverse setup allows students to either specialise in a specific area of stage work or combine skills for musical theatre performances.
Throughout the year, Ross organises various productions and pantomimes, giving students a platform to showcase their talents. One proud moment was when senior pupils performed at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, an achievement that highlights the school's commitment to nurturing professional-level skills in its students.
Millennium Stage School offers two programmes. The Performance School, for students aged 7 to 20, provides a comprehensive education in performing arts. It involves 3-hour rehearsals every Sunday, focusing on drama, dance, and music, and entry is by audition to ensure commitment and talent.
For younger children, aged 4 to 8, the Little Stars programme offers a fun introduction to the arts with half-hour sessions in music, drama, and dance on Sundays from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm at Craigsfarm. No auditions are required, making it accessible to all.
Many former students have gone on to achieve great things, from gaining scholarships to full-time theatre courses, to working with agents and dancing with professional companies. Ross and the team at Millennium Stage School are dedicated to being a launching pad for young talent.
