About
Sarah, the organiser, wants to share some exciting details about Midlands Open Water with the sports community.
Midlands Open Water is based in Tamworth and offers an exceptional open water swimming experience for every swimmer, regardless of age or ability. Recognised for three years in a row as the top open water swim venue in the Midlands, it remains a family-owned private lake. Sarah ensures it’s a nurturing environment where every swimmer feels supported.
A key feature of Midlands Open Water is its natural lake, which has been kept pristine for seven years without any added chemicals. Swimmers can enjoy the lake without worries of issues like swimmer’s itch. It’s a clean and safe space to practice the sport.
Conveniently located near Kingsbury Water Park and the Belfry Golf Course, the venue is easily accessible. Whether you’re training for an ironman competition or just want to enjoy the water, Sarah invites everyone to join.
Membership options are quite flexible. Seasonal membership offers unlimited access during designated hours without needing prior booking. There’s also an annual insurance fee of £20 for all swimmers. For those who prefer a more flexible approach, pay-as-you-swim memberships are available starting in April. This allows members to renew their insurance and book hourly swim sessions online, each priced at £7.
Sarah encourages everyone to stay connected with Midlands Open Water through social media to keep up with the latest news and events. They value community engagement and collaborate with partners to enhance the swimming experience for all members.
Privacy is important, and Midlands Open Water has a comprehensive privacy policy to protect user information. Any updates to the policy will be communicated promptly to ensure transparency.
In summary, Midlands Open Water, under Sarah’s organisation, is at the forefront of open water swimming in the Midlands. It welcomes everyone, from seasoned athletes to beginners, providing a natural, safe, and enjoyable environment.
