Welcome to Mermaid Physie & Dance, a top dance school and dance company located in Palm Beach, Australia. At Mermaid Physie & Dance, girls are obsessed with physie, a unique dance class that combines the artistry of ballet, jazz, contemporary, and acro elements into one fun-filled experience with their friends.

Parents are delighted by the kind, supportive, and body positive club environment that encourages strength, flexibility, and fitness in their daughters. Our choreography is age appropriate, and we welcome members from as young as 3 years old to those who are 70 years old and beyond!

But what exactly is physie? Physie is a dynamic dance class that seamlessly blends dance styles such as ballet, jazz, and contemporary into one comprehensive lesson. Our innovative choreography is tailored to be age appropriate for girls from 3 years old to ladies of all ages. Each age group learns a set of routines called a syllabus, which is taught across all physie clubs in Australia.

Throughout the year, the routines are built upon and perfected, and members have the opportunity to showcase their skills in performances and competitions at the local, state, and national levels. These performances are a highlight for all of our girls and ladies, as they not only develop confidence, but also improve performance skills and foster a sense of teamwork.

Established in 2001, Mermaid Physie is a family-friendly Gold Coast club. With over 150 members ranging from 3 to 60 years old and beyond, we welcome girls and ladies from all across the Gold Coast and Tweed to join our physie community. Our classes are held at Elanora High School on Mondays and Wednesdays, as well as at Mudgeeraba State School on Saturday mornings.

Mermaid Physie is an affordable dance sport for all ages, with classes starting from just $10. Whether you're a beginner or have previous dance experience, we warmly welcome you to try a week of physie classes for free.
