The Upper Thames Sailing Club is thrilled to announce the upcoming Merlin Rocket Open Meeting 2024 happening on the weekend of Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September. This event is a must-attend for all sailing enthusiasts as crews will be vying for the prestigious De May Vintage Series and Spade Oak Bowl on Saturday, followed by the Thames Series Allen Challenge Cup and the Allen South East Series on Sunday. The races will kick off at around 11am on both days, offering a fantastic opportunity for amateur sailors to showcase their abilities and compete against one another.
For those interested in participating, you can easily access the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions on the club's website. And to add a fun and social element to the competition, there will be a delicious Caribbean Buffet meal available for event participants and club members on Saturday evening. Make sure to secure your spot for the buffet by the 1st of September to avoid missing out on this wonderful experience.
