The Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor Programme is an exciting opportunity for martial arts enthusiasts who are looking to take their skills to the next level. Whether you're seeking a career change or simply want a new and rewarding direction in life, this comprehensive training program can help you become a qualified instructor in the martial art.
With 6 Levels of progression, the Instructor Programme is designed to challenge and develop participants. Led by experienced instructor and business mentor Sifu Steve Carpenter, monthly 2-hour seminars at our headquarters will teach you coaching and management skills. These seminars are supplemented by hands-on training in actual classes once a week, where you will gain the expertise needed to become a Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach.
What makes this programme even better is that it is completely free of charge. However, spots are limited each year, and strict guidelines must be followed throughout the 4-year duration. Participants will need to purchase coaching kit, which includes equipment and a coaching manual costing £60 and £15 respectively. Additionally, a mandatory DBS check costing £9 is necessary.
The different levels of the Instructor Programme cover everything from basic class involvement duties to advanced coaching skills and branch management tuition. Starting with Level 1, you will learn about equipment setup and basic health and safety checks. As you progress, you will be introduced to coaching techniques, class management systems, and even have the chance to demonstrate your coaching ability.
Once you complete Level 6, you will attain Provisional Instructor status and have the opportunity to open your own branch on a one-year trial period. As long as you meet the standards outlined in the Instructors handbook, you will be awarded Full Instructor status at the end of the trial period. We can even offer a leased premises on a full-time basis in any area of the UK, if desired.
