The Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor Programme is the perfect opportunity for individuals who are passionate about teaching this beautiful martial art. MKF Thorpe Bay St Augustines, a local Mixed Martial Arts club located in Southend-on-Sea, is proud to offer this comprehensive training program that prepares individuals to become instructors of Meridian Kung Fu.
The programme consists of 6 levels of progression, each focusing on different aspects of teaching and coaching. From basic class involvement duties to advanced coaching skills and branch management tuition, participants will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to excel as instructors. Led by experienced instructor and business mentor Sifu Steve Carpenter, participants also attend monthly coaching and management skills seminars at the headquarters.
The Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor Programme is tailored towards exemplary students and accepts a limited number of new recruits each year. The course itself is free of charge, but participants are required to purchase coaching kit for £60 and a coaching manual for £15, as well as cover the cost of a DBS check for £9.
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be awarded provisional instructor status. Meridian Kung Fu (UK) offers a zonal opportunity for new instructors to open a branch on a one-year trial period. Full instructor status will be awarded if all the standards laid out in the Instructor's handbook are met. In addition, leased premises on a full-time basis can be provided in any area of the UK if required.
