The Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor Programme is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about martial arts and want to make a career out of it. This programme serves as a stepping stone towards becoming a Meridian Kung Fu Instructor and eventually running their own branch. It is a unique and fulfilling path that sets it apart from other available options in the field.
To be a part of this programme, participants must demonstrate a high level of skill in the beautiful martial art of Meridian Kung Fu and have a strong commitment to teaching and enhancing the lives of others. The programme is designed to help them develop the necessary coaching and management skills through 6 levels of progression.
The programme consists of monthly 2-hour seminars held at headquarters, where experienced Instructor and business mentor Sifu Steve Carpenter provides guidance on coaching and management. Participants also get hands-on training in actual classes once a week to further hone their skills as a Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach.
It's important to note that there is no charge for this course and the opportunity to train as a qualified Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach. However, the number of new recruits accepted each year is limited, and strict guidelines must be followed throughout the 4-year programme. In addition, recruits are required to purchase coaching kit, a coaching manual, and undergo a DBS check as part of the process.
At each level of the programme, participants will focus on different areas of development. Level 1 involves basic class involvement duties, while level 2 introduces coaching responsibilities. Level 3 covers class management systems, and level 4 delves into advanced coaching skills. Level 5 focuses on demonstrating coaching ability, and finally, level 6 provides branch management tuition.
Upon completing level 6, the participants will be awarded provisional Instructor status. Meridian Kung Fu (UK) then offers a zonal opportunity for new Instructors to open a branch on a one-year trial period. If all the standards outlined in the Instructors handbook are met, they will be granted full Instructor status. Additionally, Meridian Kung Fu (UK) can provide a full-time premises on a lease basis in any area of the UK, should the Instructor require it.
