Mer-Fin Swim Ltd, based in Shrewsbury, offers a unique and engaging swimming experience for children aged 6 and above. Founded in January 2018 by 'Mermaid' Amy, a mother of two from Telford, Shropshire, Mer-Fin Swim blends a love for mermaids with swimming to create a special swim programme.

Amy's passion for mermaids began at a young age, and she often swam using the dolphin kick technique, wearing a mermaid tail. In 2013, she made her first mer-tail for a photoshoot in Cyprus, which received an enthusiastic response. Inspired, she brought the concept to Shropshire, and Mer-Fin Swim was born.

Amy has over 11 years of experience in mermaid swimming and holds Swim England (ASA) level 1 and 2 teaching qualifications. At Mer-Fin Swim, there’s a variety of mermaid and merman tails available, complete with quality fins, so children can truly swim like a mermaid or merman. The school offers small, tailor-made classes to help children learn and improve their swimming skills in a supportive setting.

In May 2023, Mer-Fin Swim became Mer-Fin Swim Ltd, expanding its offerings. It now provides a variety of services including personalised classes and 1:1 lessons for children with special educational needs, running over 4,500 classes a year. Safety and skill development are top priorities.
