Calling all ladies who enjoy game fishing! The Ladies Blue Suzuki Top Ten Tuna Tournament is one of our most popular events of the year. Take part in this exciting tournament from 6th to 13th January 2024 and try your luck at catching the biggest tunas. Compete against fellow female anglers and see if you can make it into the top ten.

It's a fantastic opportunity to bond with other fishing enthusiasts and enjoy the stunning waters of Whitianga.

Attention all female anglers! The Girls in the Bay Ladies Tournament is an event you won't want to miss. Join us for a day of fishing and friendly competition on a date to be announced soon. Show off your fishing skills and see if you can reel in the biggest catch of the day.

It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with other women who share the same passion for game fishing.

Gear up for the Longshore Marine No Bait Tournament, a unique competition where participants are not allowed to use bait. Test your fishing skills and strategy as you try to land the biggest catch without the assistance of bait. This tournament is always a fun challenge for our members and offers a unique twist to traditional fishing tournaments. Stay tuned for the date of this year's tournament.

The Okuma Open Tournament is open to all anglers, whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out. Cast your line and see if you can hook the biggest fish of the day. This tournament is a great opportunity to test your fishing skills and compete with fellow anglers in the beautiful waters of Whitianga.

Our Junior Winter Tuna Snapper & Interclub tournament is specifically designed for young anglers to showcase their talent and passion for game fishing. Join other junior anglers as you compete for the biggest tuna and snapper catches. This tournament offers a fun and supportive environment for young anglers to develop their skills and connect with other fishing enthusiasts their age.

At Mercury Bay Game Fishing Club, we take pride in being one of the oldest game fishing clubs in NZ. Our club bar and bistro are open throughout the week for members to relax and socialise.
