At Menai Hawks Netball Club, we are proud to be supported by Netball Australia and are committed to fostering the next generation of netballers. We value and recognise the role of culture in our communities and strive to work respectfully to honour these connexions.
When you join Menai Hawks Netball Club, you become part of a close-knit family. We offer a range of benefits and activities beyond game day. Each member receives a fully stocked kit bag, including a brand new match ball and training equipment. At the end of the season, we celebrate with a special event for our junior players and NetSetGO participants.
Additionally, we organise a club day out to watch the Suncorp Super Netball at heavily reduced ticket prices.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our members, all our Committee, Managers, and Coaches hold a current Working with Children certificate. We prioritise the safety and welfare of our players at all levels.
We offer a range of membership options to cater to different age groups and skill levels. Our NetSetGO programme is designed for kids aged 5-7 and offers an opportunity to learn the basics of netball, make friends, and have fun. Participants receive a netball and t-shirt, and our skilled coaches are dedicated to providing a positive and enjoyable experience. This programme starts on March 15th, 2024, at the Yala Road Netball Courts in Bangor.
For kids aged 8-9, our registration fee is $150. Our dedicated and passionate coaches and managers ensure a rewarding experience for all participants. The Friday night games take place at the Bellingara Netball Courts in Miranda, starting on April 5th, 2024. We accept Active Kids vouchers for this age group.
Ages 10-16 can register for $190 and enjoy games every Saturday at either the Bellingara Netball Courts in Miranda or The Ridge in Barden Ridge. Active Kids vouchers are accepted for this age group as well.
For adults aged 18 and above, our registration fee is $220. Men and women are both welcome to join, and we can accommodate whole teams or find a spot for individuals in existing teams if availability allows. We value and appreciate our volunteers, and we offer support and opportunities for growth to our coaches and umpires. Coaches have the opportunity to attend coaching courses paid for by the club, and additional support is provided throughout the season.
