The Tura Beach Men's Golf Club, located in Merimbula, is excited to invite all men who have a passion for golf to join their thrilling competitions. With the main competition days being on Saturdays and Tuesdays, there are also some additional days scheduled for those who simply can't get enough of the sport.
Thursdays offer a non-handicap 9-hole competition as well as an 18-hole Pro Comp, bringing together golf enthusiasts of all skill levels. Fridays, on the other hand, feature a lively 9-hole “Chicken Run” competition that promises plenty of excitement and friendly banter.
When it comes to Tuesdays, the majority of the day is dedicated to the popular Stableford format, which always guarantees an enjoyable and competitive round. However, it's important to note that throughout the year, around 15% of Tuesdays are dedicated to playing Stroke, Par, and team events, adding some variety to the mix.
Saturday events will typically see players teeing off from the Blue Tees, providing a challenging yet rewarding experience for all participants. Moreover, make sure to mark the first Saturday of each month on your calendar, as that's when the Club holds its Monthly Medals. Unfortunately, visitors are not eligible to win these prestigious medals, but the competition itself is still a fantastic opportunity to showcase your golfing skills.
For those avid golfers who enjoy a little more intensity, the Club Championships, held over four rounds at the end of April and the beginning of May, will truly test your abilities and determination. Additionally, the Tura Beach Men's Open, a highly anticipated 36-hole event, takes place in May, attracting golfers from near and far. And for those who have reached the age of 55 and above, don't miss out on the Tura Senior Classic held simultaneously.
The Men's Foursomes, a thrilling 27-hole event, is held in July, bringing together pairs of talented golfers who will undoubtedly create unforgettable moments on the course. Furthermore, in August, the Mixed Foursomes takes centre stage, showcasing the wonderful camaraderie between male and female golfers.
Finally, gentlemen, don't forget that throughout the year, your cumulative results from designated events will contribute to your chances of winning the coveted 'Yearly Par' and 'Yearly Stableford' trophies. So make sure to consistently bring your A-game to these tournaments.
