Located at two different venues, Richmond Recreation Centre on Gleadell Street and Ryan's Reserve on Swan Street, Melbourne Social Netball – Richmond provides two outdoor netball courts. Ample parking is available on Gleadell Street, and entry to the Richmond Recreation Centre is through the Lynall Hall Community School Gate. It is essential to note that no animals or bikes are allowed inside the school fenced netball areas.
The netball season at Richmond Recreation Centre runs on Mondays and Thursdays, with 16 rounds and 2 Finals. The season starts on August 28th, 2023, and ends on January 15th, 2024.
Game nights and times of play vary depending on the number of teams and divisions. They can be scheduled between 6:20 pm to 9:40 pm, evenly spread across teams and competitions throughout the season length.
Melbourne Social Netball – Richmond welcomes teams, individuals, and umpires to register and participate. Registering a team allows friends to socialise and have fun together every week, while individuals can connect with other netball enthusiasts to form teams. Experienced umpires are also encouraged to join the team.
With seven venues across Melbourne, Melbourne Social Netball is a leader in the social netball community. With a total of 1213 players, 145 teams, and 35 umpires across the seven venues, Melbourne Social Netball offers netball opportunities five days a week for both female and mixed teams.
