Rod here from Mei Quan Tai Chi – East Finchley. Just a quick note to share what’s happening at our Tai Chi school located in East Finchley Martin Junior School, Plane Tree Walk, N2 9JP.

We’ve got a couple of classes coming up that might pique your interest. On Mondays, there's a Qi Gong class from 18:30 to 19:15, starting on 8th January, which runs for 12 weeks at £108. Right after that, from 19:30 to 20:30, there's a Tai Chi class at £132 for the same period. If you're keen, you can take both Monday beginners' classes for just £200.
If you're wondering about payment, you can use a credit card or PayPal by adding your class to the basket and hitting the PayPal button. Alternatively, just give Rod a shout, and he'll sort you out with the options.
Our school is pretty accessible – a 12-minute walk from East Finchley tube station on the Northern Line, making it easy for anyone around London to join in.
We take pride in offering personalised instruction to make your Tai Chi journey enjoyable. Besides our regular classes, we also provide instructional videos, podcasts, and training guides exclusively for our students. We’ve been teaching traditional Yang Style Tai Chi since 1992 and cover everything from basic techniques to advanced stuff like Push Hands and Application. Plus, we delve into the culture, history, and philosophy of Tai Chi, giving you a well-rounded experience.
When you come to class, you can expect a mix of warm-up exercises, Tai Chi Form, Qi Gong, and even some partner work. Beginners start with the Beijing 24-Step Short Form, and we also teach Qi Gong exercises like the Eight Pieces of Silk Brocade sequence to boost health and body energy awareness. Partner work includes exercises to help develop balance and coordination.
So, whether you're a newbie or have some experience, we're here to provide a welcoming and enriching environment for you to learn and practice Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Our aim is to help you achieve calmness, centredness, and vitality.
