Derek ensures each class is personalised to make learning Tai Chi and Qigong straightforward and fun. You’ll even get access to exclusive videos, podcasts, and guides to boost your learning.
Specialising in traditional Yang Style Tai Chi, the school’s been teaching since 1992. You’ll cover everything from basic techniques to advanced skills like Push Hands and Application. Plus, you’ll dive into the culture and history of this ancient martial art.
For those starting out, there’s a fab beginners course that sets you up with all the basics and helps overcome any initial nerves. Each class includes warm-ups, Tai Chi Form, Qigong, and partner work.
What’s more, you’ll practise flowing Tai Chi forms, starting with the enjoyable Beijing 24-Step Short Form and moving towards the full Long Form as you advance.
Qigong exercises, like the famous Eight Pieces of Silk Brocade, Standing Stake meditation, and simple but effective partner exercises, will help you balance, coordinate, and connect with others.
