Robin, the organiser at MCI Health & Performance, wants to share a personal note with the sports community. Located in Bangor, Northern Ireland, MCI Health & Performance offers a variety of services for all fitness levels and goals. Whether you're experienced or new to fitness, there's something on offer for everyone.

The main activities include CrossFit, HYROX, CrossFit Kids, Weightlifting, and Personal Training. To support overall wellness, Move Physio & Pilates, Hair by Briony, and Prescribed Coffee are also on-site.

Robin emphasises the importance of proper technique and coaching. The skilled team at MCI ensures each exercise is performed correctly to maximise results. This personalised attention makes every CrossFit session feel like having a personal trainer.

A typical CrossFit session at MCI includes a warm-up, mobility exercises, technique instruction, and a challenging CrossFit Workout of the Day (WOD). These WODs vary daily to keep training interesting and effective.

New members complete the FAST-TRACK programme or ON-RAMP, which cover the core movements of CrossFit and ensure proper technique. Each session continues to include technique work for ongoing development.

Members will learn essential movements like squatting and deadlifting with correct form. Olympic lifting techniques such as the snatch and clean & jerk, as well as conditioning exercises like kettlebells and gymnastics movements, are also taught for a comprehensive fitness experience.

Membership options are flexible. The Unlimited membership includes access to CrossFit, HYROX, and Open Gym sessions. For a more targeted approach, there's a 2x Per Week membership. Full-time students can benefit from reduced-rate student memberships.

MCI also runs a CrossFit Kids and Teens programme for ages 6 and up. These classes are scheduled on weekends and weekday afternoons to fit around school commitments. Contact MCI for more information or to secure a spot for your child or teen.
