Mazury Dance Company has had the honour of performing at numerous prestigious events and venues throughout the UK and Europe. We have been invited to showcase our talent at cultural festivals, international dance competitions, and community celebrations. Our energetic and lively performances never fail to captivate the audience and leave a lasting impression.
As a charity, Mazury Dance Company is committed to giving back to the community. We actively participate in various fundraising events, using our performances and talents to raise both money and awareness for ourselves and other community organisations. We believe in the power of dance and music as tools for empowerment and unity, and strive to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.
Our rehearsals take place on Fridays at All Saints Church Hall in Elm Grove Road, London. Furthermore, we have three different age groups: the Junior group (ages 7-11) rehearses from 6-7pm, the Middle group (ages 11-16) rehearses from 7-8pm, and the Senior group (ages 17+) rehearses from 8-10pm. Besides, we welcome new members of all ages and abilities, and joining Mazury Dance Company is a fantastic opportunity to learn traditional Polish dances and be part of a vibrant and supportive community.
Zosia Lesiecka, our Artistic Director and Choreographer, brings her passion and expertise to create captivating and authentic dance performances. Together with her husband Lucjan Santos-Witkowski, who serves as our Dance Instructor and Choreographer, they lead and guide our three dance groups. Their dedication and talent have played a significant role in shaping Mazury Dance Company into the internationally acclaimed group it is today.
Under the musical direction of Jadwiga Somka, Mazury Dance Company delights audiences with the harmonious blend of traditional Polish songs and melodies. Jadwiga's knowledge and passion for folk and choral music bring a unique dimension to our performances. She also leads virtual choir projects, keeping our members connected and engaged, even during challenging times.
