Maynooth Taekwon-Do School, located in Maynooth, offers a welcoming environment for people of all ages interested in learning the Korean martial art of Taekwon-Do. Under the instruction of Mr. Gareth Curran (VI), the club is affiliated with prestigious organisations such as the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) and the All European Taekwon-Do Federation (AETF). We are also proud members of the Irish Taekwon-Do Union (ITU), the Irish Sports Council (ISC), and the Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI), providing our members with opportunities to compete at both national and international levels.
Our aim at Maynooth Taekwon-Do School is to teach ITF style Taekwon-Do as a form of self-defence and sport. Our instructors are dedicated to maintaining the highest international standards in their teaching, ensuring that our students are well-versed in the tenets of Taekwon-Do and are able to compete at various levels. We emphasise good sportsmanship, respect for all participants, and the promotion of the core values of Taekwon-Do in all our classes.
We provide a safe and fun environment for our members, with Garda vetted instructors and qualified Childrens Officers available for our junior members. Whether you are interested in learning practical self-defence skills, improving your physical and mental health, or simply making new friends, Maynooth Taekwon-Do School welcomes you to come along and try out a class.
