Our dojo is all about preserving the teachings of Matayoshi Sensei. We're part of MKKI, one of the biggest Matayoshi organisations on the planet. Sanguinetti Sensei, who was taught directly by Matayoshi Shinpo Sensei, has dedicated himself to keeping the tradition alive.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a total newbie, you'll get top-notch training in authentic Matayoshi Kobudo. Sanguinetti Sensei regularly visits our UK Branch, so you'll have the unique chance to learn from one of the best.
New to the game? No problem! We offer the first two lessons for free, so you can see if it's your thing before signing up. Matayoshi Kobudo focuses on Okinawan Weapons, and it's one of the oldest kobudo styles still around. You'll be part of a legacy passed down through nine generations of the Matayoshi Family.
While there are hybrid versions of Kobudo in the UK, our school is the real deal. We're linked to MKKI and Sanguinetti Sensei, who’s got an impressive 8th Dan rank. Plus, being a member means chances to train in Okinawa or other MKKI dojos worldwide. ✈️
