Welcome to Matamata Memorial RSA Inc, the best club in Matamata! Founded on principles of friendliness, good humour, and community involvement, we are a social enterprise dedicated to delivering socially. Although we have embraced modernisation in every aspect, we still remain true to the traditional RSA motto of 'People Helping People'.
At Matamata RSA, we encourage the whole family to join us and enjoy our safe and friendly clubrooms. We extend a warm invitation to our members, affiliated members, and their guests to make use of our exceptional facilities. From weddings and functions to trainings, funerals, and corporate events, our club is available for all occasions.
Prospective members are welcome to visit Matamata RSA and explore the facilities we have to offer. We hope they will join us in creating fun and memorable times together.
Excitingly, Matamata RSA is honoured to host the 76th RSA National Triple Lawn Bowls competition, taking place on 20-21-22 November 2023. Registration days will be held on 18-19 November, followed by the play days from 20-22 November. The prize-giving ceremony will be held on 22 November. Live music performances are scheduled throughout the tournament, featuring talented artists such as Woody Dean, Mike McKinley, Glenn Carley, and Helen Riley.
The bistro will serve delicious meals every evening of the competition. Lunch packs can be ordered in advance, and breakfast arrangements can be made upon request. The entry fee for teams is $270, and a warm welcome dinner will be held on 19 November at 7 pm, offering a roast carvery and dessert for $25 per person.
We are open daily from 3 pm (excluding Good Friday, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day). While we do not stand on airs, please remember that we are a Club and expect a reasonable standard of dress to be maintained.
