Welcome to All Anglia Karate Association, the go-to place for individuals looking to enhance their martial arts skills. The club, known as Children's Martial Arts/Karate Great Chesterford Saffron Walden, is centrally located in Saffron Walden but also has branches in Attleborough, West Wickham, and Whittlesford.
Our experienced instructors are committed to helping both kids and adults develop their karate abilities. We offer year-round classes, except Bank Holidays, a two-week summer break, and a two-week break over the Christmas period.
Parents often notice a remarkable improvement in their children's concentration levels at school after they have been training with us for some time. Our classes are divided by age and grade, ensuring that participants are in an appropriate and comfortable learning environment. We strive to strike a balance between fun and discipline in our sessions, focusing on cardio and bodyweight fitness, competition karate, and age-appropriate self-defence techniques.
For beginners, the only requirement is to come dressed in comfortable clothing such as tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt. It is essential to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during the class. If you wish to fully immerse yourself in the karate experience, Karate suits, also referred to as Gis, can be purchased for £30. This includes delivery, a white belt, and the Association badge embroidered on the suit.
While it is recommended to attend at least two classes per week when possible, the frequency of training is ultimately up to the individual. If you miss a regular night's training, you can make it up by attending any suitable class within the Association without providing prior notice. Kindly note that during class hours, parents are not allowed in the hall. This arrangement has been proven to enhance children's engagement and enjoyment of the classes.
To participate in our martial arts activities, all participants, regardless of age, must have a valid license. The yearly fee for the first year is £26, and subsequent years are priced at £21. This fee covers both the license and a record book.
We are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for all our members. Therefore, our classes not only teach martial arts skills but also focus on anti-bullying strategies and prevention.
