Our club plays at the Seymour Leisure Centre, conveniently situated on Seymour Place near Marylebone. The sports centre is easily accessible, with the Edgware Road, Marylebone, Baker Street, and Marble Arch Tube Stations all within walking distance.
We hold our sessions on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm, providing ample opportunity for members to enjoy a few hours of competitive play. With approximately 45 members, our club offers a vibrant and welcoming community of badminton players.
Membership at the Marylebone Badminton Club costs around 50 for a 13-week period, but we recommend checking in advance for available spaces. We are proud to have access to five courts, ensuring that everyone has ample opportunity to participate and enjoy the sport.
The standard of our players is generally at the intermediate level. New members are encouraged to join us as visitors initially, allowing them to assess if the standard aligns with their own skills and preferences. Likewise, the club evaluates if the new member will fit in with our existing standards. If adjustments are needed, alternative suggestions may be made to ensure everyone has the best experience possible.
While we do not participate in leagues or competitions, our club is dedicated to providing a space for friendly, competitive fun and enjoyment. We understand that life can be busy, so there is no obligation for members to attend every week. Flexibility is key, and we want to accommodate the schedules and commitments of our members.
