Port Macdonnell Golf Club is excited to announce a special event to celebrate the Mary MacKillop Feast Day on August 8th. This event will honour the first Saint of Australia, who dedicated her life to helping those in need.
While many gather at Mary MacKillop Place in North Sydney for this occasion, those on the Limestone Coast can also participate in Penola. The Mary MacKillop Interpretive Centre will be open all day, with a mass at 12pm and evening prayer at 5pm at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church. Visitors can enjoy morning tea at the Mary MacKillop Centre and join in the festivities in honour of this beloved saint.
For those unable to attend in person, there are still ways to honour Mary MacKillop. Consider learning more about her charitable projects and donating to become an Independent Spirit of Mary MacKillop Today. Supporting fair trade products is also a meaningful tribute, as it helps uplift families and artisans across Australia.
