Marlin Sub-Aqua Club Nuneaton is excited to invite all Scuba Diving enthusiasts to our recent night dive event in Warwickshire. Our dive briefing was conducted with utmost importance given to safety, covering topics such as diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs) and rebreather buddy procedures. The participants were well-prepared and equipped to take on the adventure that awaited them.
Our night dive event consisted of two dives, allowing participants to thoroughly explore the mesmerising underwater site. Conditions were carefully assessed at thirty meters depth, ensuring the safety of all divers. As they submerged, they were greeted by the captivating sights around the block house, Land Rover, and Wessex. The underwater world proved to be a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
After a surface interval, the participants geared up for their second dive, which had an exciting twist. They were eager to capture stunning footage with their DPV-mounted GoPro cameras. With a well-thought-out plan in place, the divers completed laps around the Stanegarth before returning along the anchor chain. It was an exhilarating experience, providing them with an up-close encounter with the beauty that lies beneath.
As with any adventure, challenges can arise. During the dive, one participant faced a technical issue with their scooter. But thanks to the camaraderie and support within our diving community, the issue was swiftly resolved by a helpful buddy. This incident served as a testament to the teamwork and trust that exists among our members.
To conclude the night dive, the participants took a leisurely swim towards the cliff, savoring the final moments in this enchanting underwater environment. As they ascended and exited at the sunken steps, the participants couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and awe at the extraordinary experience they had just shared.
