The charter operates on the “Bootlegger,” a 38-foot fully surveyed and customised fibreglass Westcoaster. The boat is equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable fishing trip, including a walk-in toilet, plenty of shade, seating, and a powerful engine for a speedy journey to the fishing grounds.

Marion Bay Fishing Charters offers both deep sea and inshore fishing experiences. The deep sea fishing trips take place in some of South Australia's best fishing locations, including Wedge Island, Althorpe Island, Kangaroo Island, Neptune Island, and the surrounding waters. These trips offer the chance to catch a variety of fish, including Blue Mako Sharks, Bronze Whalers, Thresher Sharks, Blue Groper, Kingfish, and big sambo's.

During the summer months, the charter operates from Pondalowie Bay inside the Innes National Park. This area provides excellent fishing opportunities and allows easy access to Wedge Island, one of the skippers' favourite fishing spots. Bag-limits of fish are common here, and there is always the possibility of catching something extraordinary.

In addition to deep sea fishing, Marion Bay Fishing Charters also offers Tuna fishing trips from February to June. During this time, huge schools of Blue Fin Tuna arrive, providing thrilling fishing experiences. Trolling lures around the boiling schools of Tuna and witnessing their acrobatic jumps and powerful fights make for an unforgettable day on the water.

During the winter months, the charter focuses on targeting King George Whiting and Snapper in the Investigator Strait and Foul Bay. Foul Bay is particularly renowned for its massive King George Whiting, with fish over 50 cm being a common catch.
