Manurewa AFC

Manurewa AFC has been around since 1959 and has become a big part of the South Auckland footy scene. Ray, the organiser behind much of what you see today, is keen to keep the community in the loop.

For home games, they play at War Memorial Park, located at 16 Gibbs Rd, Manurewa. The grandstand features some cool old photos, and the blue and yellow steps give a great view of the fields. The clubrooms are spread over three levels, with the mezzanine offering up some pretty sweet views of the action. There’s a bar with a good range of drinks and a kitchen serving hot food, so it’s a solid spot to catch a game on a chilly day.

When War Memorial Park isn't in use, the lads play at Jellicoe Park, just around the corner. This year, the Men’s First Team calls it home. Manurewa AFC’s got teams for juniors, youth, and seniors, and come 2022, they’re rolling out a women’s team too.

Ray and the club are all about helping players improve and love the game. They run regular trainings, trials, and events aimed at player development. Thanks to their efforts, they’ve built a rep for producing top-notch talent and getting results on the pitch.

Sponsors play a big role too. The club's tight with them and appreciates the support, which helps them make a splash in the local soccer scene.

If you’re looking to join, the process is pretty easy through the Friendly Manager registration system. New and existing members sign up online, get a login, and access all the club info. They welcome players of all ages and skill levels.
