Sarah has something exciting to share with the sports community. She’s the driving force behind Malvern Merlins Children's Martial Arts, a well-known martial arts school in Malvern Wells, Worcestershire.
Sarah’s vision for Malvern Merlins is straightforward: she aims to provide children with fun and positive martial arts experiences. With a firm belief in equality, Sarah has crafted an inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
The name "Malvern Merlins" draws inspiration from the magical Malvern Hills, known for their ancient springs. Sarah believes martial arts can develop physical skills and contribute to personal growth and healing, much like the area's renowned holy wells.
Under Sarah’s guidance, the school prides itself on teaching excellence. Classes are led by experienced instructors knowledgeable in Philippine martial arts, particularly the Dacayana Eskrima system. With a solid group of senior students, the school offers a supportive space for newcomers to begin their martial arts journey.
Founded in 2003 as the Malvern Eskrima Group, the school evolved into its current form, yet the welcoming spirit remains unchanged. Despite not actively advertising, Sarah and her team warmly welcome new members. Senior students, skilled black belts, mentor new students to ensure rapid progress and development.
The focus at Malvern Merlins is clear: top-quality martial arts instruction along with fostering personal growth, discipline, respect, and self-confidence in each child. The school offers various classes and training opportunities, tailored with age-appropriate techniques and methods.
Sarah is committed to providing children with a positive and enriching martial arts experience. With a focus on accessibility, inclusivity, and teaching excellence, Malvern Merlins Children's Martial Arts helps children develop essential life skills through martial arts.
