The club has a rich history that dates back over 110 years. It was originally formed in 1908 under the name Tarrangower Golf Club and started on a private property with 6 holes. In 1913, it relocated to its present site and expanded to nine holes. Over the years, the club underwent further development and expansion, with the addition of three more holes and the completion of the 18-hole course in the 1950s.
Today, Maldon Golf Club offers a well-maintained course that measures 4411 metres and is rated as Par 65. The fairways have good grass coverage, and the sand scrapes are renowned as some of the best in country areas. The undulating terrain, tree-lined fairways, and strategic layout provide a challenging and enjoyable round of golf for players of all skill levels. The course has hosted successful events such as the Victorian Sandgreens Championship in 2008 and 2018.
The clubhouse facilities have also undergone recent improvements to enhance the member experience. The building now features Colourbond cladding, an upgraded bar area, an outdoor BBQ, shaded seating area, and refurbished furniture and window blinds.
