Experience the exciting world of digital creativity at the Make Stuff event in Stockport. Taking place throughout February as part of Stockport Council's Digi Fest and Town of Culture activities, Make Stuff offers a range of fun and engaging workshops and events for people of all ages. Whether you're a tech expert or a beginner, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Hosted by MadLab, Make Stuff features over 10 activities that last 15–20 minutes each. Participants can feel the power of 1000 watts of bass running through their fingers, create dancing alien oobleck using corn flour, make laser-blaster sounds with a slinky, explore sound waves, and discover amazing sounds hidden in everyday objects. They can also play a mechanical violin, connect friends to an electrical circuit to measure the squeakiness of their noses, and get creative with stop-motion making, crafting, coding, and more!
Tickets for the event cost £5 per family, and attendees can choose to be refunded or donate their ticket to support future community-led events. If you're unable to afford a ticket, you can email makestuff@madlab.org.uk with your name and postcode for assistance.
In addition to the February events, Make Stuff will continue to offer activities throughout March. For more information and to participate, you can visit the Make Stuff website.
