The centre houses a variety of purpose-bred English Riding ponies, including Welsh, Arab, Shetland, Station hacks, and Thoroughbred crosses. The size of the horses ranges from 10'3hh to 15'3hh.
One of their offerings includes a 90-minute group session, during which riders have the opportunity to help catch and lead the ponies into the yard, as well as groom and saddle them before riding. This session is priced at $15 per person. For younger children or those who prefer a shorter time in the saddle, there is a 45-minute session available for $10. The Mairehau Riding Centre provides all necessary equipment, including riding helmets, and the maximum rider weight is set at 90 kg.

Apart from individual lessons, the centre also accepts bookings for school holiday groups, riding for the disabled, and birthday parties. For individuals with more experience, the riding centre offers 2-hour rides to Bottle Lake Forest. These rides are for riders who can walk, trot, canter, and jump at least 30 cm and must be booked in advance.
Furthermore, the Mairehau Riding Centre offers rotted horse manure for sale at $2 per bag, which can be a great addition to gardens or vegetable patches.
