MacEwan University Sport and Wellness is dedicated to providing expertise in fitness, aquatics, and recreation opportunities for MacEwan students, faculty, staff, and the public. Our mission is to inspire and enable individuals to achieve their health and lifestyle goals.
Our facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness centre, 18,000 square foot gymnasium, and a six-lane, 25-meter swimming pool. We offer a wide range of fitness programming for all abilities and interests, including daily classes such as spin, strength aerobics, and older adult classes. Specialty courses such as Olympic Weightlifting, kickboxing, yoga, and Barre are also available, along with personal training services to help you reach your fitness goals.
For those interested in aquatics, we offer swim lessons for all levels, from tots to master swimmers. Deep and shallow water classes are available for a challenging workout, and we also provide aquatic certifications for those looking to become lifeguards or instructors.
In addition to fitness and aquatics, MacEwan University Sport and Wellness offers opportunities for recreation and play, including sport leagues, tournaments, e-games, and sport clubs. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to have some fun, there's something for everyone at our facility.
