Enjoy the thrilling Sideways Sessions at Lydden Hill Race Circuit! These sessions are perfect for any auto racing enthusiast looking for an adrenaline-fueled experience. Held on selected dates, usually from 3pm to 6pm or for the last 3 hours of daylight, these sessions offer an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills on the track.
To ensure a smooth flow, the start line is held for 5 minutes every 15 minutes, allowing for a controlled and organised session. We take safety seriously, which is why only 4 cars are allowed on the circuit at a time. This ensures that everyone can enjoy the experience while maintaining a safe environment.
We understand the importance of noise regulations, so all cars must adhere to a noise limit of 100db static and 92db drive-by. We may implement extra noise breaks if necessary, although with the precautions in place, they shouldn't be needed. Plus, our dedicated team closely monitors driving standards to minimise any time loss and keep everyone safe.
To ensure the utmost safety, basic scrutineering will be conducted. This is done to ensure that all participating cars are in proper working condition and meet the necessary safety requirements.
The cost for the Sideways Sessions is £100, which includes the opportunity to slide around on the track and enjoy passenger rides in each other's cars at no additional cost. Please note that the Sideways Sessions are exclusive to LHMC (Lydden Hill Motor Club) members. To participate, you can easily purchase LHMC membership for just £10 per event or £30 per year. Becoming a member comes with several benefits, such as the opportunity to provide input into the exclusive events' format, event ticket discounts, and access to the Lydden Loyalty scheme.

For our LHDC (Lydden Hill Drivers Club) members, the afternoon sessions follow an open pit lane format. This means you'll have maximum seat time and the freedom to hit the circuit whenever you want. However, please note that spaces are limited to just 20 drivers per event, so make sure to secure your spot early. If you're looking to twin up with a friend, that's allowed too, adding even more excitement to the experience.
