Rich would like everyone to know that Lutterworth Town FC, also known as Lutterworth Town AFC, is a football club based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, UK. Home to the Swifts, the club has a history stretching back to 1955. They first joined Division Two of the Leicestershire Senior League in that year and have experienced a fair amount of promotions and relegations since.
The club moved to Coventry Road in the 1990/91 season but returned to Dunley Way in 2012/13. There, they've achieved success, winning the Leicestershire Senior League Division 1, the top Division, and the United Counties League Division 1. Currently, they play in the United Counties Premier Division South and take part in competitions like the FA Cup, FA Youth Cup, and FA Vase.
Rich is particularly proud of how involved the club is with the community and always welcomes new volunteers. As it's run solely by volunteers, there are plenty of opportunities for those keen to help out, whether it be coaching, refereeing, match day support, groundskeeping, bar work, or cleaning. If interested, give Rich a call at 07976094490 or check the Contacts Page on the club’s website.
On another note, the senior team's fixtures are coming up soon, and it’d be great to see fans there. Tickets are available at the gate, or you can reserve them in advance by emailing the club. Kids under 18 get in for free. While you're there, make sure to visit “The Nest” bar for some food and snacks.
The club's management committee includes Chairman Andrew Dixon, Vice Chairmen Richard Ablett and Nick Turnbull, Treasurer Jannette Scotchbrook, Secretary Bradley Hicks, Hospitality member Steph Turnbull, and Welfare Officer Kim Ablett.
Rich and the rest of the club want to thank everyone for their continued support and hopes to see more football enthusiasts joining the Swifts' community. Don’t forget to follow them on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube for updates and exciting content.
