Luton Aikido Club

Looking to learn a martial art that's all about balance and technique? Luton Aikido Club, one of Britain's longest-running clubs, might just be for you. Based in Luton, the club offers lessons in Aikido, a Japanese martial art focused on defence rather than brute strength—ideal for everyone, regardless of size.

Run by Mrs. Ros Loft, a 6th Dan Black Belt and the club's founder since 1973, sessions at the club are relaxed and enjoyable. You'll get support from experienced Black Belts and senior students as you learn.

Luton Aikido Club is open to anyone 18 and older, with no joining fee and free gradings. Sessions run at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Trinity Road, Limbury, on Sundays from 1pm to 3pm, and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8pm to 10pm. Your first session is on the house, and after that, it's just £3 per session (or £1 for concessions). Low-cost insurance at £8 per year is required after your first session.
