L School Of Dance

The L School of Dance, located at 24 Dyfrig Street, Shotts, ML7 4DH, is a highly respected and popular dance school in the Shotts, Newmains, Wishaw, and Motherwell communities. Established in 2002, the school has grown to have over 190 pupils attending classes weekly.

The school offers a wide range of tuition styles, including Tap, Ballet, Disco, Modern, Commercial, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Acro, and Street dance. Pupils have the opportunity to participate in annual dance showcase productions at the Motherwell Civic Theatre, as well as examinations with the BATD and SLQ. They also take part in Christmas pantomimes, community events, workshops, and local, national, and worldwide street dance competitions.

The L School of Dance is known for its exceptional stage productions and its talented dancers. The school has produced some of the best dancers in the area and has five award-winning competitive crews who have won numerous medals and trophies at the UDO local, regional, and World Championships.

While the studio is based in Shotts, dancers from far and wide have chosen to attend classes at L School of Dance due to its excellent reputation. The school's staff is dedicated to encouraging and supporting each pupil, regardless of their dance abilities. The focus is not only on dance success but also on building confidence, self-esteem, improving fitness, and most importantly, having fun.

The team at L School of Dance is led by Principal Dance & Acro Coach, Laura Sneddon. Laura started dancing at the age of 4 and has achieved numerous qualifications in tap, ballet, modern, and acro. She opened her own dance school at the age of 18 and has been proud of its growth ever since. Jennifer Lynch, the Senior Dance Coach, is also an integral part of the team.
