Lowton Riding Centre is licenced with the Wigan Borough Council and undergoes regular inspections in accordance with the guidelines set by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). This ensures that our facility maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall quality.
Our founder, Mrs. Victoria Waterfield, has been involved with horses since a young age. She began riding at the age of 7 and owned her first pony, Bob, by the time she was 10. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience and expertise in various equestrian disciplines, including cross country, showjumping, and dressage, reaching a high level of proficiency.
Mrs. Waterfield underwent training at Northfield Riding Centre, where she obtained her teaching qualifications. This enabled her to fulfil her dream of establishing Lowton Riding Centre in June 1987. With her passion for horses and her commitment to education, she has created an exceptional learning environment for riders to develop their skills and build a strong foundation in equestrian sports.
